Service Information

The CAB/TRBL/RAFBF Advice Service is open to people who have served or are currently serving in the UK Armed Forces, and to their dependents. The following details will help us to deal with your matter quickly. If you do not have these details to hand, please submit the form anyway, and we will confirm service later.

Data Protection Act 1998

In order to help you we need to maintain a record of your case, which may contain sensitive personal data. The law says we must obtain your consent to do this. Everything you tell us will be treated confidentially. Sensitive personal data is defined as information relating to any of the following: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, sexuality or sex life, offences and/or convictions. For the purposes of the Act the Data Controller is Carlisle & District Citizens Advice Bureau.

Carlisle & District Citizens Advice Bureau are working with the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) and will process your personal data according to the Data Protection Act 1998 as explained above. The information you give may also be:

  1. Audited by the Royal British Legion (RBL) and/or the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) or their respective representatives.
  2. Used by the RBL/RAFBF to create statistics, performance reports, or evaluations (all information shared will be anonymous).
