is the Bureau?
Carlisle & District CAB is an independent charity, partly funded by the
Local Authority to provide, FREE, IMPARTIAL and CONFIDENTIAL advice on
almost any subject.
If we don't know the answer - we know someone who does.
We help and advise most often on the subjects of debt, relationships, benefits, housing, employment, law, immigration and all
forms of discrimination.
Carlisle & District CAB is totally independent, completely confidential and
non-judgemental.
Who runs the Bureau?
Carlisle & District CAB is run by local people and is part of a
nationwide network of Bureaux,
offering free help, guidance and
advice to over 5 million people annually.
It is the largest advice-giving agency in the country and it is
FREE.
Nationally,
90% of staff resources are volunteers with paid staff providing management
and supervisory resources to each office.
Our advisers are all volunteers, trained
to high professional standards.
Our Carlisle office is open......
Wednesday to Friday 10am - 4pm
also...
Saturday 10am to 12 noon.
We
can also offer fixed-time appointments on Fridays-
These are book-able from 10am
on the Monday of that week.
